" Small beaches in the coastal town of Pondicherry, (Tamil Nadu, India) are very picturesque and popular among tourists and locals. However, even while enjoying a nice stroll on the beach at sunset, we witness some lingering effects of the tsunami which touched the coast in 2004: boats thrown far away from the ocean line, ruins of houses with only two walls left. This has become an inseparable part of the actual landscape. Bright touches of colour, newly grown palm trees, newly painted bright houses makes another addition to the sea side view"
